TERRY MOORE, CPCU
Terry has been a Principal with Barney & Barney since May 2000. He serves as a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. Terry is Director of both the Small Business Division and the Program Group. As President of Association Services and Insurance Brokers (ASAIB), Barney & Barney’s wholesale division, Terry is responsible for the sales and marketing of various trade association programs.
Terry graduated Cum Laude from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He began his insurance career in 1972 and achieved his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1975. Terry has been honored by Independent Insurance Agent Associations in both California and Nevada as “Insurance Company Professional of the Year” in 1985, 1988, and 1989. Prior to joining Barney & Barney in 1998, he was Senior Vice President of Zenith Insurance Company.
Terry is a Past President and member of the Board of Trustees of the Insurance Educational Association. He is a Past President and member of the San Diego Chapter of the Society of CPCU. Terry serves on the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of San Diego and Imperial Counties. He is also a member of San Diego Downtown Rotary, the San Diego Opera’s Corporate Council, and Lux Art Institute Luminaries.
