BILL BUCHANAN
As a Principal in Barney & Barney’s Commercial Department, Bill Buchanan leads the Healthcare Practice Group. Prior to joining Barney & Barney, he worked for a national insurance broker in Los Angeles. Focusing on workers’ compensation, property, liability and professional liability products, Bill serves businesses in the healthcare and life science sectors.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA. Mr. Buchanan served on the staff of an international mission organization for five years concentrating on outreach to university students, leadership development and graduate studies in theology.
Bill is currently on the Board of the San Diego Association of Healthcare Risk Management. He holds the professional designation of Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), and is an active member in the Professional Liability Underwriting Society and the Medical Group Managers Association.
